Our History
The concept for Automation Backup™ evolved over a period of years. Casual observations and anecdotal evidence showed that most companies are lacking a formal procedure and structure to store the information that runs their automation systems. Backup procedures, if they exist, usually involve using designated files and folders labeled by machine and component. These systems work well in theory but are cumbersome and not always practiced. Moreover, even if the backup files and folders are used, there was little being done to archive and track changes.
Many Companies fail to backup vulnerable components of a system because they are not even aware of their system vulnerabilities until there is a disaster recovery issue.
Conversations with people people in charge of repairing or modifying automation systems also revealed that there was a general frustration with not having the right communications software, cables or written procedures to follow when systems failed and or needed modifications.
All these observations spawned the idea of Automation Backup™. An idea, however, is only good if it is implemented. Thus, Pinaka Systems, Inc. was formed to turn the Automation Backup™ idea into a viable and robust product; to support that product with first-class customer services; and to provide on-going research and development to keep the product current, robust and viable.
